lodiGet the App

Terms & Conditions

These terms describe the rules for using Lodi, including card scanning, OCR, contact management, optional cloud sync, and optional Gemini-powered parsing.

Agreement

By accessing or using Lodi, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These terms are between you and the publisher of Lodi. Replace this publisher description with the final legal entity name before publication.

Service Description

Lodi helps users capture or import business card images, extract text using OCR, structure contact details, review and edit those details, save contacts to an in-app account, and optionally write selected contacts to the device address book.

Some features may rely on cloud services, including authentication, database storage, file storage, and optional Google Gemini processing when configured.

Accounts

Acceptable Use

User Content And Contact Data

You are responsible for the business card images, OCR text, contact details, and other content you upload, save, export, or write to device contacts.

Business cards may contain personal data belonging to other people. You are responsible for having a lawful basis or appropriate permission to process, store, or export that information.

Optional API Keys

If you provide your own Google Gemini API key, you are responsible for complying with Google's applicable terms, policies, quotas, and billing obligations. Usage may be billed to the account associated with that key.

If Lodi is shipped with a deployer-controlled Gemini key, smart parsing behavior and any related limits may change, be disabled, or be subject to additional terms.

Third-Party Services

Lodi depends on third-party services such as Supabase, Google ML Kit, Google Gemini API, and Google Play. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services, interruptions, policy changes, or processing outside our control.

Accuracy And Disclaimers

OCR and parsing may be incomplete or incorrect. You must review and verify contact details before relying on them, saving them, exporting them, or contacting someone based on them.

Lodi is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher of Lodi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the publisher of Lodi from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app or legal requirements change. Continued use after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Termination

You may stop using Lodi at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for other users or the service, or if we discontinue the service.

Termination may affect access to cloud-stored contacts and card images. Data deletion and retention are described in the Privacy Policy.
